Beer Yoga is life.
Plogging Miami one run at the time, this one was in South Beach a few weeks ago.
I could write a lot about this event but instead, please watch my videos, from both nights.
I hope I don’t have to say, it was delicious!
Happy New Year, I can’t believe is 2018!
I know this video is a bit old but only in the end of 2017 I could manage to make this old computer run and finish editing it. In 2013, the Miami Marathon was sponsored by ING. That year I did not run or walked the race, my presence was to support and cheer for the runners. It was fun and my video will share some moments from that warm morning in January with part of the Miami running community.
See you on January 28th!
Yes! Another great event on the neighborhood and of course, I would not miss it. Mat ready, I take the path to the Metro Mover, public and free transportation . 3 stations and 8 minutes later, I arrive at the 5th street station, the nearest to the W Hotel (located on Brickell Ave right by the bridge). From the station, it takes 5 minute or less (depends how fast you can walk) to arrive at the W Hotel.
From April to September, the class has a priceless view since it happens on the 50th floor/ rooftop and it gets “sold out” quickly, the flow goes very well with the happy hour and that temporary feeling that you are meditating on “top of the world”. Obviously I could not pass the opportunity to do a time lapse in one of the classes and this is how it looks, I hope you enjoy it.
For more info about the event, please follow their official webpage: https://leggingsloungemiami.com and I will see you in 2018!
Team St Jude Heroes is growing, here is our 2017 Miami Half Marathon’s Journey.
See you January 28th 2018!
On April 1st, I received an invite to host a live video on the Wings for Life Facebook page. The video is about stretching for runners and it was hosted by me and my friend Carley, the yoga-certified-run club pacer-Iron Woman-(bird lady) @TheHeartRacer
If you missed it live, you can still watch it on the main Wings For Life page or here.
See You May 7th Sunrise FL

A few month ago, I posted about the workout with Muscle Milk with some images and FINALLY my computer decided to work (after crashing tons of times) and video is ready to be watched! The entire workout was about 50 minutes long and here I offer you a 5 min of everything that happened that day.

Yes, 5 de Mayo was yesterday, it happened on a Thursday and it was just the perfect day for this post but I missed it! So, I will be doing it anyways…today! I know most of you reading this might still be a bit drunk from last night but here it is, for the fun!
Back in 2011, the One and ONLY Run Club, hosted at Mister R’s on Lincoln Rd in South Beach every Thursday 7pm, had a theme run for the ‘mexican day’, where all runners got together to find the Unicorn Pinata somewhere around South Beach! Costumes were not required but it’s always part of the fun!
Want to watch what happened?
Finally could cut and finish the video. It is a bit long but some things I can’t just cut it out.
Thanks for watching!
As I have mentioned before, Claudio Navas ran the Miami Half Marathon in Honor of Danny Alvarez. Here is the full video of Claudio’s journey from start to finish line.
Yes, I killed myself dancing at LIC Miami. And the next day, I showed up at Wynwood Yard at noon, looking for a “recovery” Yoga… if that was even possible. The Yoga Master leading us? DJ Gina Turner (Yeah… Lic was over but I was still in that EDM mood)
Here I share a few images from the recovery class. Want to join next class? —>https://www.facebook.com/DJGinaTurnerOfficial/ Thanks Gina, see you in March!

GoProGirl’s video from event:
I know, I am ahead 1 day, making the real count 31days but, the day before of this race already count as a “marathon” -at least for me. Once again, I am glad to be working for this event and this year, I was offered to be one of the Ambassadors. It’s been a few months since I officially started to work and, the closer we get to the race day, the harder we work to make this happens. Past years, I worked in the office few days before the race and I also worked on race day doing videos and photos during the event. This year has been way more intense than last ones and I love it. It’s non-stop working every single weekend to get everyone to know about the race and register.
So the same will happen here! If you like the video attached, you should click and register NOW!
I hope you all know where my words go…..(to this link right below)

I was kindly invited to attend few classes at this amazing gym located at 7200 Biscayne Blvd and I loved it. The Iron Flower gym is different because it’s focused on women, offering all kinds of classes from Yoga, Pilates to Spinning, Zumba, Kickboxing, etc. The vibe is awesome, decoration makes you feel like you are in a “Barbie doll’s house” and the workout… well… it’s a killer workout. I just want to share some GoPro shots I got while attending 2 different classes. Cardiobox and kickboxing. Both in different days, different instructor, same great vibe! Thank you Iron Flower ♥ I really appreciate the invite.
The South Beach Run Club still awesome.
Fit 2 Run and the RUNdezvous at the Park once a month!
Every tuesday at 7 pm, if you live or work around Brickell, you know you will need some patience at that time of the day. Hundreds of runners get together for a 5k run for fun. It’s not a race but definitely feels like one. When you see the amount of ‘buddies’ taking over the streets of Brickell towards Downtown Miami, one might think – This is Insane! And I say, yes it is and it’s also great to be part of this ‘insanity’ for the past few years. Tuesday July 28th, BRC started as usual but it ended in a different place : The PAMM – Perez Art Museum Miami.
I do not want to talk about the invasion but I would like you to check these images and guess it for yourself.
Thank you Frankie Ruiz. It was a great party for the runners!
If you like to join the group, it’s free and you can find more info on facebook.com/brickellrunclub or @BrickellRunCLub
This might be the first time I will be actually writing on this blog. If you look, everything I post are photos or videos and sharing some links, but no writing at all. I call it ‘wordlessblog’ but today, I will feed you some words.
On the first day of July, I was invited (or maybe dared, you will figure it out at one point) to be part of this ‘project’ to work as photographer/videographer for a new brand. The job – cover sports events. The challenge – that might include taking some classes and filming everything possible. hmmmm…..
— I started running back in 2010 when I was overweight and hopeless. Running have put me back into shape over the years, BUT I do not have that ‘fitness frame of mind’, I take classes for charity once in a while, I take a free yoga anytime I get a chance, but that – is – it. I am not a long distance runner ( half marathons happens once a year), not a fast runner, no gym on my schedule, nothing else. My runs includes talking, walking, photographing and lots of jogging, about 5 miles distance, from 1 to 5 days a week. I don’t have visible muscles, I do look skinny and my real strength is 0.-
The first requested event was to run a 5k, witch was not a problem at all. I am used to do this, easy pie. Also, I was supposed to attend the Run Clubs available in town and that happened during the first week of July.
Than, I had that request – Can you sign up for a 14 day trial with ClassPass.com ?
What the H… is a class pass? I was thinking in my head – where the hell did I get into? – Anyways, ended up to find out what classpass.com was and here is how I am feeling about this experience.
And here we go, On July 13th, first day on of ClassPass, I chose 2 different studios around the area I live (just in case I decided to give up before even starting, I could run back to my house faster. But of course, that did not happened.)
First Class in the morning, a Spinning Class. I hope by now you understand that when I do some kind of “biking” is just for fun, once a year, Deco Bike… but Never taken a spinning class before. And here I am. Tripod with monopod and gopro all ready and set to get me in action. I’m not sure if it was the time of the day or the day of the week but the class happen to have only 3 girls ready to cycle. I forgot to bring water bottle, problems with beginners. Overall, it was a nice class and I felt more like a private session, since there was only 2 other girls in the room. After 60 min, I stepped out of the bike and I though: ‘ I can not walk home’ – but I did.
In the afternoon, I had scheduled a Pilates Session. That was also new for me, I had seen my mom doing it a few years ago, but I had never done it. So I was thinking ( and expecting a little) that Pilates was a calm and easy way to stretch and exercise, since I was sore from the earlier workout, I did not wanted to abuse of my body. And of course I was wrong. Pilates is not easy at all and I found muscles I had no idea they existed in my poor body. It was a 45 min session and I left feeling sore in other areas of my body. It also gave me a feeling of a private session since I had only 2 others in the room with me.
The next day, the 14th, I woke up very sore and did not want to over do it, so I decided to visit a gym. I never do weights or anything serious so I went straight to the cardio room. They had a bunch of machines available, empty room and one amazing view of the Bay that I could not get over it! Ended up running on treadmills for about 45min. Not my favorite thing to do, I would rather be running outdoors but it was nice to visit that place, I had no idea it was there and I am very happy to being able to find these “treasures” around town, but they were actually there since long time ago. Old for you, new for me.
On the 15th, attended a Hot Yoga class at 9am. I have done few yoga sessions but never anything like this. The room had a heater and the class was 90min long. Also, all the yoga I have done was for beginners and this one had positions for advanced ‘yogis’. In the end it was good, it feels like I was, some how, melting into my mat and I was very relaxed after I got home. Not paying attention, I over booked yoga for the same day and at 3pm I was attending another class. This one, not that hard. It seemed more like the regular classes I usually take. Only one thing: first 5 min and the first plank in, I realized how hard yoga is! And I was feeling very sore and tired in 10 min of class! Anyways, did not give up, stayed in class til the end. Left really sore.
The 16th, a Thursday, I had scheduled another Pilates class for the morning and it was not that bad as I was expecting, since I was very sore by then. This class was 60 min long and had an entire different vibe if I can say. The class was totally different from my first pilates and I loved it. It looks easy but it will make you workout hard. Same day at 6:30 pm, I attended to a studio that was celebrating their 1 year anniversary with a Spinning class. This was something out of this world! The class starts normal and suddenly we are in total darkness…til the lights turn on. In red, yellow, blue, green, purple. All those colors, the music, the rhythm and the flow of the class is explainable in words. You have to attend such a thing to feel how that was. And of course, when the class was over, I was supposed to attend their party but my legs were on fire and I decided to go home for the day since I had scheduled a Zumba class for the next morning! By this day, I was feeling exhausted.
And yes, at 9am on that Friday the 17th, I was dancing. Dancing like no one was watching – but there was… my camera. I took one zumba class to help a charity last year and that was it. 9 months later, sencond class of Zumba completed. You don’t want to know how bad I am on that so let’s skip it to the after class, I also had scheduled my chiropractor to ‘fix my back’ as he usually does once a week, since I also had a yoga class to be at noon. My legs and arms were very sore and I thought about giving up the yoga after 5min after starting. But, did not give up, I did not force it also, so let’s say I did some ‘lazy yoga’. The place was amazing, by the pool with incredible view of bay and Key Biscayne.
Since body was very sore, I decided 2 things:
1 – I can do one class per day, might consider doing 2 classes twice a week but not daily, so the following week, I will be taking one class per day.
2 – took the weekend off and did not exercise at all.
Monday the 20th, had scheduled a Hot Yoga class in another studio, this class was 60 minutes long and the instructor was a nice young girl, the class was very relaxing and I totally lost track of time, it did not feel like it was a Monday or a beginning of a new week.
The 21th, I had one of the most amazing experiences ever in this ‘fitness life’ – I had scheduled something I had seen on tv several times but I never imagined it was so amazing as it is. Anti-gravity Yoga. That is right. It’s yoga in the air, hanging. I don’t know what to say or how to describe it, it’s definitely one of my favorite classes during this intense week and I extremely recommend of course.
By the 22nd, I had schedule something I had never done before and I was also curious to see if I could handle doing it, and I scheduled a Crossfit / Bootcamp class. As I thought, it was a hard and extreme to me and my weak body. I did few minutes of spinning and that was it. Since I knew the coach, he allowed me to just photograph and do the videos. Crossfit is too much for me, it looks really cool but I have some limits. and this was my last class using class pass.
Since was requested to set up another account, in order to meet groups around the city, I had Class Pass canceled. Overall, I used 8 days of their 14 days offered. “Class pass is designed to help you explore tons of amazing studios and classes, challenge yourself with different ways to work out, and get you into the kind of fitness you feel passionate about.” For more info, check them out: http://www.classpass.com – I got some of my friends very curious about what I was doing and I offered them to use the free trial.
This was a great experience and I learned a lot about new places, new people, my body limits. I am very grateful for taking this challenge. And I am ready for the next ones!
That’s all for now. Should I blog more words? I would love to get some comments if possible.
At the Miami Beach Botanical Garden for a Yoga Class on First Day of Summer.
